Signal Sweep

Signal Sweep is a modern Minesweeper game with classic presets, a dense Master challenge, safe first reveals, deterministic fields, flood clearing, flags, chord play, local resume, and keyboard, mouse, and touch controls.

How to play

Reveal safe cells and use the numbers to count adjacent mines. Flag cells you believe contain mines. When a revealed number already has the matching number of adjacent flags, reveal or activate that number to chord its remaining unflagged neighbors. The first reveal protects the selected cell and its neighbors to create a readable opening.

Tips for this game

  • Start from the protected first opening and work outward from numbers whose mine count can be fully accounted for.
  • A flag is a marker, not proof. If a later deduction shows a flag is wrong, remove it before chording around that number.
  • On touch devices, use the visible Reveal and Flag modes when you want an explicit tap action; a stationary long press is an optional flag shortcut.

Common questions

Does Signal Sweep guarantee every board can be solved without guessing?

No. The first reveal is protected, but the game does not claim a no-guess generator or solver.

What difficulty choices are available?

The current game includes Beginner, Standard, Intermediate, Expert, and a denser Master challenge, with saved runs restoring their exact existing difficulty and seed.
