Tenthread
Tenthread is a deterministic number-pair puzzle built around one readable rule: clear two equal numbers or two numbers that total 10 when they share the same row or column and every socket between them is already open. Tiles never slide or collapse. Journey offers an endless sequence of solver-verified boards, while Daily Thread gives one focused UTC board per date.
How to play
Choose two live numbers on the fixed 6x6 board. The pair clears only when the values are equal or add to exactly 10, both sockets are in the same row or column, and every socket strictly between them is already clear. Cleared sockets stay empty in place: numbers never slide, collapse, wrap to another row, move diagonally, or refill. Journey continues through deterministic boards; Daily Thread gives one focused board per UTC date.

Tips for this game
- Look for equal pairs as well as pairs that total 10, then use early clears to open longer horizontal or vertical sight lines.
- Hint highlights a legal pair with a solver-proven route to a full clear, but it does not remove either tile for you and it marks the attempt Assisted.
- If you reach a solver-proven dead end, Undo or Restart the same board rather than waiting for tiles to move or new numbers to appear.
Common questions
Can I match numbers diagonally or wrap from the end of one row to the next?
No. Tenthread pairs only within the same row or the same column, with every socket between already clear. There is no diagonal or row-wrap rule.
Do cleared numbers slide, collapse, or refill?
No. The 36 socket positions are permanent. Cleared sockets stay visible and empty, and the remaining numbers never move.
Does Hint clear the suggested pair for me?
No. Hint marks a currently legal pair with a solver-proven full-clear continuation. You still choose the pair yourself, and the board is marked Assisted.
When does Daily Thread reset?
Daily Thread uses one deterministic focused board per UTC date, with the date boundary at 00:00 UTC.
