How to play

Move all 52 cards onto the four suit foundations, Ace up to King. In the seven tableau columns, build downward in alternating colors: drag a Jack of clubs, with the Ten of diamonds on it, onto a Queen of hearts as one run. A face-down card flips when uncovered. Only a King, or a run starting with a King, fits an empty column. Tap the stock to draw: Draw 1 turns one card, Draw 3 turns up to three, and only the top waste card plays.

Tips for this game

Before you touch the stock, scan every column for a move that uncovers a face-down card. Digging into the column with the most hidden cards first gives you the most new options.
Avoid emptying a column unless a King is ready to move in. An empty column accepts only a King or a King-led run, so the gap can sit unused while you spend moves.
Do not rush every card to the foundations. A top foundation card can return to a tableau column when it fits, which can be the move that uncovers a hidden card.

Common questions

Is every Cedar Solitaire deal winnable, and what does Hint do?

No, random deals are not promised solvable. Hint highlights one legal move, preferring moves that uncover a hidden card, then foundation moves, then other tableau moves, then drawing. It is a suggestion, not a claim of the best move.

How far back can I undo?

Undo steps back one accepted action at a time, and stock draws count as actions. The game keeps at least the last 128 actions available to undo. Undo locks once the deal is completed.

Is my game saved, and how do I change Draw 1 or Draw 3?

Your deal, move history and records are saved on this device, so reopening the page resumes it. There is no account or cloud sync. New deal opens the Draw 1 or Draw 3 chooser and abandons the current deal.

How do I move cards on a phone?

Tap a card or run, then tap a highlighted destination, or drag it. On screens up to 360 pixels wide, a chooser lists the run options when cards are crowded. Keyboard play also works: arrows move focus, Enter selects, Escape cancels.
